Here is the last round review presented by LBM Management.

The most exciting game of round 11 in the Cup took place in Caracas. This derby game ended with only one-point home defeat of second-ranked Cocodrilos (7-2) to seventh ranked Heroes (2-7) 62-61 on Friday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the home team. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Cocodrilos. They outrebounded Cocodrilos 43-29 including a 15-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great evening for the former international forward Axiers Sucre (199-78) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds (perfect from the field making all six shots). Swingman Kevin Nino (195-91) helped adding 15 points and 5 assists. Heroes' coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. The former international forward Luis Bethelmy (200-86) responded with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds. Heroes maintains seventh place with 2-7 record. Cocodrilos at the other side keep the second position with two games lost. Heroes are looking forward to face higher ranked Trotamundos (#3) in La Asuncion in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Cocodrilos will play at home against Taurinos and are hoping to win this game.

It was an exceptional evening for the former international forward Axiers Sucre (199-78) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 13 rebounds. Alejandro Barrios accounted for 16 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Forward Kelvin Caraballo (198-88) came up with 20 points and 9 rebounds for Diablos in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Heroes maintains seventh place with 2-7 record. Diablos at the other side keep the fourth position with six games lost. Heroes will play against higher ranked Trotamundos (#3) in La Asuncion in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Diablos' supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Caracas to the arena Spartans.

The best player for the winners was Jose Ascanio who scored 15 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Jorge Rondon produced 15 points for the guests. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Undefeated Guaiqueries have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. They maintain first place with 8-0 record. Loser Cangrejeros dropped to the fifth position with six games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.

In the last two games of round 11 Trotamundos lost to Spartans on the opponent's court 67-72. Broncos managed to outperform Centauros in a home game 69-61.
The most impressive stats of the last round was 21 points and 7 rebounds by Javinger Vargas of Centauros.

The best player for the winners was international forward Jose Ascanio (204-96) who scored 15 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Swingman Luis Duarte (190-94) chipped in 17 points and 5 rebounds. Four Guaiqueries players scored in double figures. The former international swingman Jorge Rondon (193-90) produced 15 points and guard Heldrin Guillent (180-98) added 12 points respectively for the guests. Rather expected game in Caracas where 3rd placed Trotamundos (4-5) were defeated by first ranked Spartans (8-1) 72-67 on Friday. Spartans looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was international guard Yohanner Sifontes (192-95) who scored 15 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). International center Windi Graterol (204-86) chipped in 11 points and 8 rebounds. Naturalized American Donta Smith (201-83, college: SE Illinois JC) produced a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds and American point guard Keron DeShields (190-92, college: Tennessee St., agency: BIG) added 16 points and 4 assists respectively for the guests. Spartans maintains first place with 8-1 record. Defending champion Trotamundos keep the third position with five games lost. They share it with Broncos. Spartans' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Caracas to the arena Llaneros.

Another exciting game was a derby match between two teams from Caracas: Heroes (#7) and Diablos (#4). Heroes (2-7) crushed visiting Diablos (4-6) by 25 points 96-71. Heroes had a 36-17 advantage in offensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three nailing 12 long-distance shots on high 52.2 percentage. Heroes players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Diablos' players. Diablos were plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. The former international center Javinger Vargas (202-90) produced 21 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Eduardo Rios (182-88) added 11 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Broncos maintains third place with 4-5 record having three points less than leader Spartans, which they share with Trotamundos. Centauros lost their seventh game in a row. They keep the sixth position with eight games lost.
