Guaiqueries and Trotamundos advance into Superliga Cup Final

Guaiqueries held off Cocodrilos to advance into Final. Canadian Terry Thomas (193-91, college: Ottawa) nailed 20 points and 4 assists for the winning side and the former international power forward Francisco Centeno (203-85) accounted for 17 points and 4 assists. Forward Jovanni Diaz (203-90) came up with 18 points and international forward Anyelo Cisneros (200-97) added 10 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Cocodrilos in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game.

Trotamundos upset Spartans en route to the title game. Strangely Spartans outrebounded Trotamundos 37-20 including 27 on the defensive glass. Naturalized American Donta Smith (201-83, college: SE Illinois JC) stepped up and scored 18 points and 8 rebounds for the winners and American point guard Keron DeShields (190-92, college: Tennessee St., agency: BIG) chipped in 18 points. At the losing side international swingman Pedro Chourio (186-90) responded with 21 points and 6 rebounds and international center Windi Graterol (204-86) scored 8 points and 17 rebounds.
