Marinos de Anzoategui (SPB) landed experienced 34-year old American (has also Nigerian passport) 191cm point guard Ben Uzoh (college: Tulsa). Uzoh played most recently at Cape Town Tigers in South African D2 league. In three Basketball Africa League games he averaged 11.3ppg, 4.0rpg, 8.0apg and 2.0spg last season.
Uzoh also represented Nigeria at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) six years ago. His stats at that event were 5 games: 7.4ppg, 1.4rpg, 2.6apg, FGP: 46.4%, FT: 68.8%.
He is a very experienced player.
And here thanks to pro basketball he experienced life in ten different countries playing on four different continents. Uzoh is familiar with European, Latin American, African and of course North American leagues.
He has played previously professionally in Belgium (Okapi Aalst), France (Paris), Italy (Montegranaro), Mexico (Caballeros de Culiacan), Russia (Lokomotiv), NBA (Cleveland Cavaliers, Denver Nuggets, Brooklyn Nets and Toronto Raptors), Dominican Republic (Metros), NBA G League (OKC Blue, Rio Grande Valley Vipers and Canton Charge), D-League (Springfield A.) and Nigeria (Rivers Hoopers).
Uzoh graduated from University of Tulsa in 2010 and it will be his 13th season in pro basketball.
