Caribenas tab Waleska Perez

Caribenas de Caracas (SLB) inked 28-year old international 180cm guard Waleska Perez (college: Weatherford JC). The last time (2021) she played at Anzoategui in Venezuelan SLB league.
She has been also a member of Venezuelan international program for some years. Perez has regularly played for Venezuelan senior team since 2010 and previously for U18 National Team back in 2009.
She represented Venezuela at the FIBA South American Women's Championship in San Luis (Argentina) this year. Perez's team got to the Semifinals and her stats at that event were 5 games: 6.8ppg, 5.8rpg, 3.0apg, 1.4spg, FGP: 28.1%, 3PT: 17.4%, FT: 40.0%.
Perez is a very experienced player. She has quite traveled the world as her pro career brought her to five different countries on three different continents (Europe, Latin America and of course North America). Perez has played previously professionally also in Brazil (Blumenau), Colombia (Motilonas), Spain (Arxil), Argentina (Obras) and Venezuela (Guaras, Cangrejas and Pastoras). She won Venezuelan LINABAFE championship title in 2014, 2017 and SLB in 2021.
Among many awards she received Latinbasket.com All-Venezuelan LINABAFE Player of the Year award and Latinbasket.com All-Venezuelan SLB Guard of the Year award in 2021.
Perez attended Weatherford College until 2014 and it will be her ninth season in pro basketball.
