Yosimar Corrales (ex Malvin) joins Cayenas

Cayenas de Carabobo (SLB) agreed terms with 32-year old Venezuelan international power forward Yosimar Corrales (184cm-1990). Corrales played this summer at Malvin in Uruguayan Liga Femenina. In 5 games just recently she had 11.2ppg, 6.4rpg, 1.2apg and 1.6spg. She also played 1 game in Liga Sudamericana where just recently she recorded 6 points, 1 rebound and 1 assist.
Corrales has been also a member of Venezuelan international program for some years. She has regularly played for Venezuelan senior team since 2008 and previously for U18 National Team back in 2008.
Corrales represented Venezuela at the FIBA South American Women's Championship in San Luis (Argentina) this year. Her team got to the Semifinals and her stats at that event were 5 games: 6.2ppg, 2.8rpg, FGP: 44.1%, FT: 33.3%.
She is quite experienced player. Corrales has played also professionally in Mexico (Escaramuzas), Peru (Real Club), Venezuela (Anzoategui, Bucaneras, Cangrejas and Pastoras), Argentina (Obras and Quimsa), Ecuador (Leones) and El Salvador (FAS). She won Venezuelan LINABAFE championship title in 2014, 2015 and SLB in 2021.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others she was voted to Latinbasket.com All-Venezuelan LINABAFE Honorable Mention in 2021.
