Marinos-de-Anzoategui (SPB) landed 33-year old American (has also Dominican passport) 196cm small forward Gerardo Suero (college: Albany) for the upcoming SPB 2023 season, set to begin next March.

Suero played last summer at Mauricio Baez in TBS league in Dominican Republic. He managed to play in three leagues in two countries last year. Suero helped them to make it to the semifinals.

He can count that season as a very successful as was voted to Dominican Republic LNB All-Star Game. Suero also played for Soles (LNB) in Dominican Rep. league where in 23 games he was league's third best scorer with impressive 21.2ppg and recorded 5.7rpg and 2.9apg. It was a great season in his career as he was selected to Dominican Republic LNB All-Star Game.

He represented Dominican Republic at the FIBA Americas in Mexico eight years ago. His team got to the Semifinals and his stats at that event were 3 games: 7.3ppg, 2.7rpg, FGP: 50.0%, 3PT: 50.0%, FT: 63.6%.

Suero is a very experienced player. And here thanks to pro basketball he experienced life in seven different countries playing on three different continents. He is familiar with European, Latin American and of course North American leagues.

Suero has played previously professionally also in Colombia (Academia), France (JA Vichy), Puerto Rico (Vaqueros, Grises and Gigantes), Spain (Rio Breogan), Uruguay (Hebraica), Venezuela (Guaros and Guaiqueries) and Dominican Republic (Cupes, Dosa, La Villa, Pueblo Nuevo and Indios).

He won Dominican Republic TBS League championship title in 2018 and 2021. He voted toLatinbasket.com All-Dominican Republic LNB Player of the Year back in 2014, 2017 and 2018.
Suero graduated from University at Albany in 2012 and it will be his twelfth season in pro basketball.
