SPB 2023 - Cangrejeros sign Nicholas Evans, ex Liders

Cangrejeros-de-Monagas (SPB) inked experienced 34-year old American 210cm center Nicholas Evans (college: S.Indiana) for upcoming season. Evans is the second import player in the roster as Dominican Rep. Rich Polanco signed here earlier.
He played recently at Liders in Lebanese LBL league. In four Division 2 games he recorded 13.8ppg, 8.3rpg, 2.0apg, 1.0spg and 2.3bpg last season. The last summer he played at 25 de Agosto in Uruguayan Metropolitan where in four games he averaged 10.5ppg, 7.0rpg and 1.5bpg.
He is a very experienced player. He has quite traveled the world as his pro career brought him to fourteen different countries on five different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America, Africa and of course North America). Evans has played previously professionally in Argentina (La Union), Canada (Moncton Magic, The Storm, London Lightning and Windsor Express), Colombia (Motilones), Japan (Yamaguchi), Romania (Sibiu), Saudi Arabia (Ohod), Switzerland (Lugano), Taiwan (Jeoutai), Tunisia (Ezzahra), Albania (Vllaznia), TBL (Albany Patroons and Enid Outlaws), Ecuador (Guerreros), Thailand (SWU) and Armenia (Mad Foxes).
Among many awards he was voted Latinbasket.com All-Ecuadorian National League Center of the Year back in 2018.
He graduated from University of Southern Indiana in 2012 and it is his eleventh (!!!) season in pro basketball.
