SPB 2023 - Joe Mvuezolo (ex Hangtuah) signs at Spartans

Spartans-de-Distrito-Capital-Caracas (SPB) landed 27-year old British 197cm forward Joe Mvuezolo (college: Montana State) for the upcoming SPB 2023 season. Mvuezolo played recently at Hangtuah in Indonesian IBL league. In 7 games just recently he averaged 13.6ppg, 4.3rpg, 2.1apg and 1.0spg last season. He also played for Maree (Super League) in Irish league.
Mvuezolo represented United Kingdom at the European Championships (FIBA EuroBasket) U20 in Crete (Greece) nine years ago. His stats at that event were 5 games: 1.4ppg.
He is a very experienced player. And here thanks to pro basketball he experienced life in five different countries playing on three different continents. Mvuezolo is familiar with European, Asian and of course North American leagues. He has played previously professionally in Austria (Kapfenberg Bulls), Germany, Spain (Algeciras, Cazorla and Moron), United Kingdom (Sharks, Scorchers and London City Royals) and Thailand (Thai General Equipment and Tigers).
Among many awards his team was regular season runner-up in British BBL in 2022. Mvuezolo was also voted to Asia-Basket.com All-Thailand Basketball League Defensive Player of the Year back in 2019.
He graduated from Montana State in 2018 and it is his fifth season in pro basketball.
