SPB 2023 - Craig Sword signs at Spartans

Spartans-de-Distrito-Capital-Caracas (SPB) landed 29-year old American international 190cm shooting guard Craig Sword (college: MSU). Sword played recently at Capital C.Go-Go (NBA G League) in the U.S. In 45 games he averaged 7.6ppg, 3.4rpg, 1.2apg and 1.3spg last season. The last summer he played at the Wizards in NBA where in 5 games he had 3.2ppg and 1.0rpg. He has been regularly called to USA Senior National Team since 2022.
Sword is a very experienced player. He has quite traveled the world as his pro career brought him to six different countries on three different continents (Europe, Latin America and of course North America). Sword has played previously professionally in Mexico (Rayos de Hermosillo and Astros), Poland (Wilki Morskie), NBA (Detroit Pistons), NBA G League (College Park SkyHawks), The Basketball Tournament (Team 23 and Heartfire) and TBL (Cent.Al. J. and Omaha F.).
He played in the final of The Basketball Tournament in 2021.
Sword graduated from Mississippi State University in 2016 and it is his seventh season in pro basketball.
