Venezuelan SF-PF Daniela Wallen (179-SF-1995, college: Okla City), playing her fourth consecutive season for Keflavik in Iceland's Subway League, is trying to help her team turn things around in the 2022-2023 Finals, as Valur has taken a 2-0 lead in the best-of-five format series.
There's no margin for error from now on and Game 3 will be played on April 25th. Wallen supported her team with a double double of 17 points and 14 rebounds in Game 1, a defeat against Valur, 69-66, as visitors. She netted 7 ouf of 13 field-goal attempts and 3 of 3 free-throws, adding 6 assists, 2 steals and a block in 39 minutes, while also turning over the ball twice.
Meanwhile, on Game 2, she also provided a double double of 17 points and 17 rebounds in 42 minutes, but ultimately Valur won the game in over time, 77-70. Wallen scored 7 out of 14 field-goal attempts and 3 of 4 free-throws, adding 4 assists and a couple of steals.
Overall, Wallen is averaging an impressive 20.2 points, 11.7 rebounds, 4.7 assists, 0.5 blocks and 4.4 steals per game in a total of 33 matches between the regular season and the playoffs.
Before joining Keflavik, the star of Venezuela's Senior National Team has also played for Sol de America (Paraguay), IK Eos (Sweden), Geelong Supercats (Australia), Kotka Peli-Karhut (Finland) and Leones de Riobamba (Ecuador). She's a former national champion in the United States NAIA as one of the main starts of the Oklahoma City University squad.
