Venezuelans Abroad - Aguehil Fajardo (Esgueira) finishes season as semifinalist in Portugal

Venezuelan PF-C Aguehil Fajardo (183-F/C-1999) finished up her season in Portugal's 2022-2023 Liga Femenina as a semifinalist, since her team, Esgueira Aveiro, was eliminated by Benfica (2-0) and couldn't advance to the Finals, in which the winning side will face G.D. Essa Barreiro.

Fajardo scored 13 points and added 6 rebounds and a steal in 39 minutes of action in Game 1, but Benfica prevailed, 69-53. Then, in Game 2, she finished up with 8 points, 10 rebounds and an assist in 31 minutes, but Benfica didn't have a problem to win again, 86-53.

The member of Venezuela's Senior NT in the recent South American Championship, finished up with averages of 11.87 points, 9.4 rebounds, 0.5 assists, 0.2 blocks and 0.8 steals per game in 27 matches, including regular season and playoffs.

Her team also made it to the Quarter Finals of the 2023 Skoiy Cup, where they were also taken out by Benfica, 78-62, falling short of making it to the tournament's Final Four.
