Venezuelan SF-PF Daniela Wallen (179-SF-1995, college: Okla City) could not avoid Keflavik's third and final defeat in Iceland's 2023 Subway League Finals, as Valur was able to win the championship (3-1) over her team with a victory in Game 4, 72-68.

Wallen played 38 minutes and finished up with a double-double of 21 points and 14 rebounds. She netted 7 of 10 two-point shots, 2 of 8 three-pointers and 1 out of 4 free-throws in a very exciting definition. She added 4 assists, 2 steals, 3 blocks and 4 fouls, while she also turned the ball over twice.

Valur's top scorers were Asta Grimsdottir (185-F-2001, college: HCU) with 14 points (and 11 rebounds) as well as Kiana Johnson (171-G-1993, college: Virginia Union) with 13 points and 8 rebounds.

For Wallen it was another impressive season in her fourth year in the league with averages of 20.4 points, 11.7 rebounds, 4.6 assists, 4.3 steals and 0.6 blocks per game in a total of 35 games (including regular season and postseason). However, Keflavik hasn't been able to lift the trophy since 2017.
