Guillent number one in Venezuela SPB for round 26 (by Hoops Agents)- May 5, 2023
The 36-year old player got a double-double of 30 points and 10 assists, while his team beat Brillantes (#4, 13-7) 83-77. Guaros maintains the 3rd position in their group in Venezuelan SPB. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Guaros will need more victories to improve their 14-5 record. In the team's last game Guillent had a remarkable eight three-pointers out of 13 attempts. He just recently signed at Guaros, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Heissler Guillent has solid league stats. He is in league's top in assists (4th best: 5.6apg) and averages impressive 51.1% FGP. The second best player in last round's games was young American Glen Rice Jr. (198-F-1991) of Brillantes. Rice Jr. had a very good evening with 27 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Bad luck as Brillantes lost that game 77-83 to slightly higher-ranked Guaros (#3, 14-5). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the top position in Western Conference. Brillantes still maintains its place in the top 4 of the standings, even despite this loss. His team's 13-7 record is not bad at all. Rice Jr. is one of the most experienced players at Brillantes and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 17.2ppg (#9). His other stats are also decent: 5.9rpg and 3.8apg. Third on the list of top players last round was Canadian guard Taevaunn Prince (191-G-1991) of Diablos (#9). Prince showcased his all-around game by recording 20 points, five rebounds and five assists in the last round. Despite Prince's great performance Diablos lost 73-85 to the higher-ranked Gladiadores (#1, 18-2). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. Diablos can only dream about fighting for top spots in Eastern Conference. They have rather bad season and 4-14 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Prince has a very solid season. In 9 games in Venezuela he scored 14.1ppg. Other top performing players last week: 4. Dwayne Davis (196-F-1989) of Trotamundos - 30 points, 4 rebounds and 7 assists 5. Jean Payen (193-SF-2003) of Taurinos - 28 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists 6. Jordan Adams (196-SG-1994) of Gladiadores - 23 points and 6 rebounds 7. Anthony Perez (206-F-1993) of Gladiadores - 19 points and 8 rebounds 8. Juan Tello-Palacios (206-F/C-1985) of Guaros - 15 points, 9 rebounds and 2 assists 9. Elvis Baez (191-G/F-1989) of Trotamundos - 15 points, 2 rebounds and 5 assists 10. Santiago Ferreyra (188-PG-1997) of Trotamundos - 13 points, 3 rebounds and 8 assists The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc. The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy. The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
