SPB 2023 - Piratas sign Emmitt Williams, ex Metros

Piratas de la Guaira (SPB) signed 24-year old American forward Emmitt Williams (198cm-102kg-1998, college: LSU). Williams played this summer at Metros in LNB league in Dominican Republic. He managed to play in three leagues in three countries last year. In 9 LNB games just recently he had very impressive stats: 19.2ppg, 10.9rpg, 1.8apg, 1.6spg and 1.4bpg. The last season he played at Gevi Napoli Basket in Italian Serie A. But in only one game he did not score anything and had only 1 rebound.
Williams is quite experienced player. He has played also professionally in Canada (Bandits), Israel (Hapoel Acre), NBA G League (Ontario Clippers) and NBA Summer League (OKC Thunder).
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others his team made it to the NBA G League Semifinals in 2022. Williams was voted Class 9A Player of the Year back in 2018.
He graduated from Louisiana State University in 2020 and it will be his fifth season as a professional player.
