CP Natacao Sabseg Seguros (Liga Feminina) signed 27-year old Venezuelan international swingman Genesis Rivera (180cm-1996, college: UMass) for upcoming 2023-24 season. Rivera played this summer at Atletico Aguada in Uruguayan Liga Femenina. In three Liga Sudamericana games just recently she had 5.7ppg, 4.0rpg and 1.7spg.
She has been also a member of Venezuelan international program for some years. Rivera has regularly played for Venezuelan senior team since 2015 and previously for U17 National Team back in 2013.
She represented Venezuela at the South American Championship in Tunja (Colombia) five years ago. Her stats at that event were 5 games: 1.6ppg, 2.8rpg.
Rivera has played also professionally in Chile, Puerto Rico and Venezuela (Pastoras and Caribenas). She played in the final of Liga Sudamericana in 2023.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others she was voted to Latinbasket.com All-Chilean Liga Femenina Honorable Mention back in 2019.
Rivera graduated from University of Massachusetts in 2019 and it will be her fifth season as a professional player.
