Venezuelan SG-SF Genesis Rivera (180-G/F-1996, college: UMass) completed her third double-double of the 2023-2024 season as a foreign player for CP Natacao in Portugal's Liga Feminina, helping her team with 14 points and 14 rebounds in 39 minutes of action, in a victory as visitors 70-65 against Imortal TCARS, as part of Round 4. Rivera wasn't lucky from the long distance, missing all six attempted shots, but was effective in mid range (5-of-7) and from the free-throw line, scoring 4 out of 5. She also added a couple of assists to help her team improve to a 3-1 record, tied for first place in the regular season standings. Justina King (173-G-2000, college: Toledo) led the winners with 21 points and 7 assists. Leonor Serralheiro (164-PG-1997) was the top scorer for Imortal with 15. Rivera, 27 years old, is now averaging 13.3 points, 11.8 rebounds, 0.5 assists, 0.5 blocks and 0.3 steals in 4 regular season games so far. It's her first experience in Portugal. She's previously played in leagues of Venezuela, Chile and Uruguay. Her next game will take place in October 21st against Ferragudo (0-4) as hosts.
