Venezuela confirms official squad for the 2023 Panamerican Games

The Venezuelan Basketball Federation (FVB) confirmed the list of 12 players that will participate in the upcoming 2023 Panamerican Games, to be played in Santiago, Chile.

Argentinian head coach Eduardo Pinto , who'll be assisted by Venezuelans Jose Gallardo and Jose Luis Perez , had to leave out two key players in Daniela Wallen Morillo (179-SF-1995, college: Okla City) of Keflavik (Iceland) and Nohelia Chile (191-C-2002) (Universidad Interamericana, Puerto Rico), since they organizations didn't allow them to make the trip and participate in this tournament.

As a result, here's the selected squad:

Ivaney Marquez (181-F-1983, college: Grayson County) of Cayenas de Carabobo (Venezuela)
Jormelys Urbina (170-PG-1996) of Club 25 de Agosto (Uruguay)
Genesis Rivera (180-G/F-1996, college: UMass) of CPN Basquetebol (Portugal)
Aguehil Fajardo (183-PF-1999) of KK Lavovi Brcko (Bosnia)
Leudys Quevedo (183-F/C-1998) of Cayenas de Carabobo (Venezuela)

Fajardo, Duran and Rivera will join the team directly in Chile. The'll play against Colombia (October 25th), Brazil (October 26th) and Mexico (October 27th) in Group B action, while Group A includes Cuba, Chile, Puerto Rico and Argentina.

The top 4 teams will make it to the Semifinals (October 28th) and the Finals will take place on October 29th at Polideportivo 1 del Parque Estadio Nacional in Santiago, Chile.
