Colombia finished third at the Americas FIBA Women’s Olympic Pre-Qualifying Tournament at Coliseo Iván de Bedout. They overcame Venezuela 77-72 in the last game. Colombia started with a 22-15 run and added massive 22-9 surge in the second period. Venezuela replied with two wins in the second half, however fell short at the end.
Jenifer Munoz (170-F-1991) top-scored for the winners with 19 points and Esperanza Delgado (172-SF-1996) produced 17. Daniela Wallen replied with 32 points in the losing effort, whilst Aguehil Fajardo (183-PF-1999) scored 19.
