SPB 2024 - Thomas Cooper (ex Brasilia) joins Cocodrilos

Cocodrilos de Caracas (SPB) agreed terms with 32-year old American guard Thomas Cooper (196cm-91kg-1992, college: Calgary) for new 2024 season. Cooper just played at BRB/Brasilia in Brazilian NBB league. In 36 games he had very impressive stats: 17.6ppg, 5.1rpg, 4.2apg and 1.1spg last season. Good year as he was named League Player of the Week (2 times). The last summer he played at Olimpia in Paraguayan LNB where in 11 games he recorded also remarkable stats: 18.3ppg, 7.2rpg and 3.2apg. He helped them to end the regular season as a second best team in the league.
Cooper is quite experienced player. His career allowed him to visit three different continents, while he played in seven different countries. He tasted the life as pro basketball player in Europe, Latin America and of course North America. Cooper has played previously professionally in Argentina (La Union, Argentino, Hispano Americano de Rio Gallegos and Sportivo America de Rosario), Canada (Rattlers), Germany, Mexico (Halcones de Ciudad Obregon), Spain (Betanzos), The Basketball Tournament (Chattanooga T.) and Bolivia (Leones).
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others Cooper's college team won Canada West Tournament in 2016. He was voted to Latinbasket.com Argentinian La Liga Argentina All-Imports Team back in 2020.
Cooper graduated from University of Calgary in 2017 and it is his seventh season as a professional player. He played for other colleges like: University of Nebraska-Kearney, City College of San Francisco.
