SPB 2024 - Tim Bond (ex Plaza) joins Pioneros

Pioneros Del Avila (SPB) agreed terms with 28-year old American shooting guard Tim Bond (201cm-73kg-1995, college: EMU, agency: BMS Sport Agency) for new 2024 season. Bond is the second import player in the roster as Dominican Rep. Jhoyfer Diaz signed here earlier.
He moved there from Plaza in Santiago League in Dominican Republic where he started the season. He helped them to make it to the Dominican Republic Santiago League final.
Three years ago (three years after his graduation) he was drafted by Windy City Bulls (G-League) in first round (25th overall).
The former Eastern Michigan University star is in his sixth season in pro basketball.
He is quite experienced player. His career allowed him to visit three different continents, while he played in six different countries. Bond tasted the life as pro basketball player in Europe, Latin America and of course North America. He has played previously professionally in Croatia (Zabok), Luxembourg (Etzella), Mexico (Correcaminos and Ostioneros de Guaymas), Dominican Republic (Soles, Reales, Bameso and El Million), NBA G League (RGV Vipers, Westchester Knicks and Osceola Magic) and NBA Summer League (NY Knicks). Bond won NBA G League championship title in 2019 and 2022. He was voted to MAC All-Defensive Team back in 2016, 2017 and 2018.
Bond is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas.
