SLFB 2024 - Pastoras and Indias complete sweeps as visitors over Capitalinas and Mineras

Pastoras de Lara (2-0) and Indias de Miranda (2-0) completed two-game sweeps over Capitalinas de Distrito Capital (0-2) and Mineras de Cojedes (0-2) as visitors in Caracas and Tinaquillo, in the first week of the regular season of Venezuela's Superliga Femenina de Baloncesto (SLFB) 2024.

Pastoras took down Capitalinas, 62-52. Maiberlyng Torrealba (178-PF-1996) scored 12 points for Pastoras with 3 rebounds and an assist, while rookie Roberli Perez added 12 points, an assist and three rebounds. Meanwhile, Fabiana Hernandez (173-PG-2006) added 10 points and 5 assists with 3 rebounds and Yolimar Martinez (184-C-1995) was dominant at the paint with 7 points and 19 rebounds.

For Capitalinas, Jessuana Machado (176-SF-2004) finished up with 16 points and 6 rebounds, Rachell Lopez added 14 points and 5 rebounds and Fabiana Garcia (169-PG-2006) ended with 8 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists.

Meanwhile, Indias defeated Mineras 75-61 and took advantage of a great performance by Nicaraguan player Shannen Peralta (F-2003), who scored 19 points and added 9 rebounds and 5 assists.
