Pastoras de Lara (5-2) took the most out of being at home, by defeating Gaiteras del Zulia (2-56) 75-59 at Napoleon Rodriguez Arena in Barquisimeto, while Capitalinas de Distrito Capital (2-5) surprised Indias de Miranda (5-2) as visitors with a spectacular comeback in the second half, to take the game away, 73-72, at El Poliedrito Arena in Caracas, D.C.

Ivonny Seijas (2006) led Pastoras with 18 points, a rebound and an assist. She got help from Roberli Perez (G) with 18 points, 3 assists and 2 rebounds, Hillary Perez (169-SF-1995) with 15 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and newly signed Genesis Rivera (180-G/F-1996, college: UMass), with a double double of 12 points and 11 rebounds, including 3 assists as well.

For Gaiteras, Cuban Nayara Espinosa (189-C-2001) finished up with 15 points and 5 rebounds, while Yolimar Gonzalez (175-PF-1998) added 10 points, 9 rebounds and an assist.

Meanwhile, Rachell Lopez lifted Capitalinas with 13 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists, Fabiana Garcia (169-PG-2006) added 14 points, 3 steals and a block, Jessuana Machado (176-SF-2004) contributed with 13 points, 3 rebounds, 3 steals and an assist. No stats were made available for Indias.
