Zelionis number one in Venezuela SPB for round 20

Lithuanian Power forward Edgaras Zelionis (207-PF-1989, agency: Octagon Europe) had a very impressive game in the last round for second-ranked Marinos de Oriente, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 20.
The 34-year old player was the main contributor (28 points, nine rebounds and five assists) to his team's victory, helping them to beat Centauros (#8, 4-10) 82-69. Marinos maintains the 2nd position in their group in the Venezuelan SPB. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Marinos will need more victories to improve their 11-4 record. In the team's last game Zelionis had a remarkable 66.7% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Marinos, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Edgaras Zelionis averages just after three games 13.3ppg and 5.3rpg.

The second best player in last round's games was young Glen Rice Jr. (198-F-1991) of Power. Rice Jr. had a very good evening with 27 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists. Bad luck as Power lost that game 69-76 to slightly higher-ranked Broncos (#4, 7-6). Power managed to keep the same 5th spot in Group I. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 6-7 record. Rice Jr. is one of the most experienced players at Power and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third on the list of top players last round was international center Nestor Colmenares (200-C-1987, agency: Pro Sports) of league's second-best Trotamundos de Carabobo. Colmenares showcased his all-around game by recording 21 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists in the last round. He was a key player of Trotamundos, leading his team to a 89-78 win against the lower-ranked Llaneros (#8, 3-11). Trotamundos needs these victories very badly if they think about taking over top position in Group I. Their record at this point is 11 victories and 3 lost games. Colmenares has a very solid season. In 11 games in Venezuela he scored 10.6ppg. He also has 7.3rpg and a FGP of 55.8%.
