Garcia's 13 points and 9 rebounds give him Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

35-year old CRC-BIZn power forward Charles Garcia (204-PF-1988) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for league's best team Gladiadores de Anzoategui and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 23.
He had the game-high 13 points adding nine rebounds for Gladiadores in his team's victory, helping them to beat Frontinos (#7, 5-10) 80-68. It allowed Gladiadores to consolidate first place in the Venezuelan league. Gladiadores has a very good season and are considered to have a run for the championship title. They improved their record to 15-1. Garcia just recently signed at Gladiadores, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Charles Garcia averages this season 11.0ppg and 6.0rpg.

Second best performed player last round was Lamonte Bearden (191-G-1995) of Frontinos Del Tachira. He is American guard in his first season at Frontinos. In the last game Bearden recorded an impressive 15 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists. Bad luck as Frontinos lost that game 68-80 to the higher-ranked Gladiadores (#1, 15-1). Frontinos managed to keep the same 7th spot in Group I. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 5-10 record. Bearden is one of the most experienced players at Frontinos and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to Cameron Nailor of Diablos de Miranda (#9). Nailor scored 18 points. Despite Nailor's great performance the Diablos lost 63-77 to the higher-ranked Heroes (#4, 9-6). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. Diablos can only dream about fighting for top spots in Group II. They have rather bad season and 3-12 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Nailor has a very solid season. In 3 games in Venezuela he scored 13.0ppg.
