SLFB 2024 - Pastoras (10-3) and Caribenas (9-5) complete sweeps over Indias (6-5) and Capitalinas (3-8)

Pastoras de Lara (10-3) and Caribenas de Caracas (9-5) completed sweeps over Indias de Miranda (6-5) and Capitalinas de Distrito Capital (3-8) to continue their clash for first place in Venezuela's Superliga Femenina de Baloncesto 2024.

Pastoras visited El Poliedrito de Caracas and took the first game, 84-76, thanks to another stellar performance by Mariana Duran (172-PG-1993, college: Okla City), who netted 25 points, adding 3 assists and a couple of rebounds. Genesis Rivera (180-G/F-1996, college: UMass) added a double double with 23 points and 10 rebounds, Fabiana Hernandez (173-PG-2006) supported them with 13 points and 3 assists and Nicole Garcia (174-SG-2001) with 12 points, 5 boards and 2 assists.

The second game also ended with another victory for Pastoras, this time 73-66.

Meanwhile, Caribenas defeated Capitalinas twice, 56-47 and 64-60. No official stats have been made available by the Venezuelan Basketball Federation (FVB).
