SLBF 2024 - Caribenas sign Ivaney Marquez

Caribenas de Caracas (SLBF) signed experienced 41-year old Venezuelan international forward Ivaney Marquez (181cm-1983, college: Grayson County). Marquez played this summer at Catanduva in Brazilian LBP league. In 12 games just recently she had 8.0ppg, 3.8rpg, 1.5apg and 1.4spg.
She also represented Venezuela at the Olympic Games Pre-Qualifying Tournament in Medellin (Colombia) last year. Her stats at that event were 3 games: 3.3ppg, 4.0rpg, 1.7apg.
Marquez is quite experienced player. She has played also professionally in Argentina (Obras and Quimsa), Paraguay (Olimpia), Uruguay (Malvin), Peru (Real Club), Venezuela (Yaracuyanas, Bucaneras, Cangrejas, Pastoras and Cayenas), Colombia (Inder) and Ecuador (Uruguay and Leones). Marquez won Venezuelan LINABAFE championship title in 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2015.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others she was voted Latinbasket.com All-Venezuelan Superliga Player of the Year and Latinbasket.com All-Venezuelan Superliga Forward of the Year in 2022.
She graduated from Grayson County College in 2011 and it will be her 15th (!!!) season as a professional player.
