SPB 2024 - Eric Thompson (ex Iwate) joins Cocodrilos

Eric Thompson

Cocodrilos de Caracas (SPB) agreed terms with 31-year old American center Eric Thompson (204cm-109kg-1993, college: Pacific). Thompson played last season at Iwate Big Bulls in Japanese B2 League. In 41 games he had 9.6ppg, 9.5rpg and 1.2apg. A very impressive season as he was named to Asia-Basket.com All-Japanese B League D2 Honorable Mention.
He is quite experienced player. Thompson's career allowed him to visit four different continents, while he played in nine different countries. Thompson tasted the life as pro basketball player in Europe, Asia, Latin America and of course North America. He has played previously professionally in China (Thompsonfei), Germany (ETB Miners), Israel (Hapoel Beer Sheva and Hapoel Eilat), Mexico (Dorados), Romania (Voluntari), Switzerland (Swiss Central), South Korea (KoGas), Japan (Five Arrows and Dragonflies) and The Basketball Tournament (Sideline Cancer). His team made it to the Romanian final in 2022 and 2023.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others he was voted Eurobasket.com All-Romanian League Center of the Year in 2022.
He graduated from University of Pacific in 2016 and it will be his ninth season as a professional player.
