SLFB 2024 - Pastoras sweep Indias and advances to the Semifinals

Pastoras de Lara (15-4) confirmed their spot in the SLFB 2024 Semifinals round, by taking down Indias de Miranda (7-8) twice at Napoleon Rodriguez Arena in Barquisimeto, Lara, 69-56 and 87-76, during last weekend's first round action of the tournament that's organized by the Venezuelan Basketball Federation (FVB).

In the first match, Mariana Duran (172-PG-1993, college: Okla City) led the way with 17 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists, while newly signed Odeth Betancourt (188-F-2000, college: WKU) supported her team with 9 points and 14 rebounds. Hillary Perez (169-SF-1995) added 10 points and 3 boards and rookie Greydismar Camacaro (G) finished up with 9 points and 4 rebounds.

In the second game, Mariana Duran was dominant again, this time with 20 points, 7 assists and 7 rebounds, followed by Yolimar Martinez (184-C-1995) with a double double of 11 points and 15 rebounds, Genesis Rivera (180-G/F-1996, college: UMass) with 13 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists and Nicole Garcia (174-SG-2001) with 17 points, 5 boards and a couple of assists.
