SLFB 2024 - Pastoras sweep Capitalinas as hosts thanks to a dominant Odeth Betancourt

Pastoras de Lara completed a sweep over Capitalinas de Distrito Capital in Venezuela's regular season action of Superliga Femenina de Baloncesto (SLFB) 2024, thanks to a 74-48 victory at Napoleon Rodriguez Arena of Barquisimeto, Lara.

Odeth Betancourt (188-F-2000, college: WKU) was unstoppable and completed a double double of 16 points and 20 rebounds, adding a couple of assists.

She got help from Nicole Garcia (174-SG-2001) with 15 points, 6 rebounds and an assist, Cuban Anisleidys Galindo (181-SG-1989) with 10 points, 8 boards and 3 assists and PG Mariana Duran (172-PG-1993, college: Okla City) with 10 points, 3 rebounds and an assist.

The Venezuelan Basketball Federation (FVB) is yet to publish the modified version of the remainder of the regular season, as well as the schedule for the Semifinals round.

This tournament has suffered modifications due to the early exit of one of its franchises, Mineras de Cojedes, after their first four games.
