AD Vagos (Liga Feminina) added to their roster 31-year old Venezuelan-Spanish international point guard Mariana Duran (172cm-1993, college: Okla City) for new 2024-25 season. Duran played this summer at Pastoras in Venezuelan SLBF. She helped them to win the Superliga title.
Part of last season she spent at GiroLive Panthers Osnabrueck SC in German league. Duran also played for Acciaierie Valbruna Bolzano (B) in Italian league.
She has been also a member of Venezuelan international program for some years. Duran has regularly played for Venezuelan senior team since 2010 and previously for U18 National Team back in 2009.
She represented Venezuela at the Olympic Games Pre-Qualifying Tournament in Medellin (Colombia) last year. Her stats at that event were 3 games: 8.0ppg, 4.7rpg, Assists-2(4.0apg), FGP: 25.0%, 3PT: 26.7%.
Duran has played previously professionally in Argentina (Las Heras) and Italy (Salerno and Roseto).
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others she was voted to Latinbasket.com All-FIBA AmeriCup Honorable Mention in 2023.
She graduated from Oklahoma City University in 2017 and it will be her eighth season as a professional player. Duran played also for Panola College for one year.
