Montana 2003 (NBL) signed 29-year old Venezuelan international small forward Daniela Morillo-Wallen (179cm-1995, college: Okla City). Morillo-Wallen played this summer at Los Leones in Chilean LNF league. In 12 games just recently she was league's fourth best scorer with impressive 18.3ppg and averaged 12.9rpg (#2 in the league), 4.3apg (top 3) and 5.2spg (leader !!!). She helped them to win the regular season and make it to the final. 2024-24 was a great season as she was voted Latinbasket.com All-Chilean Liga Femenina Clausura Player of the Year, Import Player of the Year and Forward of the Year. The last season she played at Keflavik in Icelandic Subway League where in 37 games she had very remarkable stats: 15.5ppg, 11.8rpg (#5 in the league), 4.9apg and 2.9spg (in top 4). Morillo-Wallen contributed to her team winning the Icelandic League title and the cup. 2023-24 was a great season as she was selected Eurobasket.com All-Icelandic League Player of the Year, Import Player of the Year and Finals MVP.
She has been also a member of Venezuelan international program for some years. Morillo-Wallen has regularly played for Venezuelan senior team since 2013 and previously for U16 National Team back in 2011.
She represented Venezuela at the Olympic Games Pre-Qualifying Tournament in Medellin (Colombia) last year. Her stats at that event were 3 games: Score-2(18.0ppg), 6.7rpg, 2.3apg, Steals-1(3.0spg), FGP: 50.0%, 3PT: 20.0%, FT: 64.7%.
Morillo-Wallen is quite experienced player. She has played on four different continents (Europe, Latin America, Australia and of course North America). Morillo-Wallen has played previously professionally in Australia (United), Finland (Peli Karhut), Paraguay (Sol de America Asuncion) and Sweden (IK Eos).
She graduated from Oklahoma City University in 2017 and it will be her eighth season as a professional player. Morillo-Wallen played also for Independence Community College for one year.
