Experienced American Myke Henry (198-F-1992) had a very impressive game in the last round for Brillantes de Zulia and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 30.
The 32-year old forward had the game-high 25 points adding four rebounds and four assists for Brillantes in his team's victory, helping them to beat Llaneros (#14, 4-16) 100-90. Brillantes is placed at 7th position in Venezuelan SPB. Brillantes is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 10-11 record. In the team's last game Henry had a remarkable 62.5% from 2-point range and got three three-pointers out of 7 attempts. He just recently signed at Brillantes, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Myke Henry averages this season 16.1ppg and 5.2rpg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young swingman Luis Duarte (190-G/F-1994) of league's best team Gaiteros de Zulia. Duarte impressed basketball fans with 27 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists. Bad luck as Gaiteros was edged by slightly lower-ranked Pioneros (#2, 13-7) 83-79. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Gaiteros still maintains its place as the top team in the standings, even despite this loss. It was just his team's 3rd loss this season, while they won 18 other games. Duarte is one of the most experienced players at Gaiteros and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

The third best performed player last round was international guard Luis Betancourt (183-G-2002) of Cocodrilos de Caracas (#6). Betancourt scored 26 points and grabbed 9 rebounds. Despite Betancourt's great performance the Cocodrilos lost 69-75 to slightly higher-ranked Spartans (#4, 12-8). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing Cocodrilos needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 10 victories and 10 lost games. Betancourt has a very solid season. In 20 games in Venezuela he scored 6.3ppg.

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
