SPB 2025 - Marlon Johnson is a newcomer at Marinos via Playoffs Draft

Marinos de Oriente (SPB) strengthened their roster with addition of 31-year old American center Marlon Johnson (208cm-98kg-1994, college: NMHU). Johnson moved there from Piratas. In 8 SPB games in Venezuela just recently he recorded 12.0ppg, 5.8rpg, 1.9apg and 1.0spg last season. The last season he played at Hapoel Kfar Qasem in Israeli National League where in 10 SPB games he averaged 13.2ppg, 8.5rpg, 3.0apg and 1.8spg.
He is quite experienced player. Thanks to his pro career he managed to play on five different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America, Africa and of course North America) in eleven different countries. Johnson has played previously professionally in Canada (Bandits, Stingers, Rattlers, Surge and Five), Finland (Pyrinto), Lebanon (Dynamo), Portugal (Imortal), Spain (Caceres and Prat), Syria (Al Karameh), Taiwan (Suns and New Taipei CTBC DEA), Turkey (Konyaspor), Dominican Republic (San Carlos and Indios), Libya (Al Ahly Tripoli and Ahly Benghazi) and The Basketball Tournament (Brotherly Love). He won CEBL championship title in 2019 and 2021.
Johnson graduated from New Mexico Highlands University in 2017 and it will be his eighth season as a professional player. He played also for Tallahassee Community College for one year.
