Pastoras de Lara (SLBF) landed 30-year old Venezuelan international 179cm small forward Daniela Morillo-Wallen (college: Okla City). Morillo-Wallen moved there from Montana 2003 in Bulgarian NBL league. In 12 games she was the best scorer with impressive 22.4ppg and recorded 12.8rpg (leader !!!), 4.5apg (top 5) and 4.8spg (leader !!!) last season. She helped them to win the League title. It was a very successful season in her career as she was awarded Eurobasket.com All-Bulgarian NBL Import Player of the Year, Eurobasket.com All-Bulgarian NBL Defensive Player of the Year and Eurobasket.com All-Bulgarian NBL Player of the Year. Morillo-Wallen also played 6 games in WABA where she averaged remarkable 19.5ppg, 8.3rpg, 4.7apg and 2.7spg. The last summer she played at Los Leones in Chilean LNF. In 12 games she was league's fourth best scorer with high stats: 18.3ppg and had 12.9rpg (#2 in the league), 4.3apg (top 3) and 5.2spg (leader !!!). She contributed to her team winning the regular season and make it to the final. Morillo-Wallen can count that season as a very successful as was awarded Latinbasket.com All-Chilean Liga Femenina Clausura Player of the Year, Import Player of the Year and Forward of the Year.
She has been also a member of Venezuelan international program for some years. Morillo-Wallen has regularly played for Venezuelan senior team since 2013 and previously for U16 National Team back in 2011.
She represented Venezuela at the Olympic Games Pre-Qualifying Tournament in Medellin (Colombia) two years ago. Her stats at that event were 3 games: Score-2(18.0ppg), 6.7rpg, 2.3apg, Steals-1(3.0spg), FGP: 50.0%, 3PT: 20.0%, FT: 64.7%.
Morillo-Wallen is a very experienced player. And here thanks to pro basketball she experienced life in five different countries playing on four different continents. She is familiar with European, Latin American, Australian and of course North American leagues. Morillo-Wallen has played previously professionally in Australia (United), Finland (Peli Karhut), Iceland (Keflavik), Paraguay (Sol de America Asuncion) and Sweden (IK Eos).
She graduated from Oklahoma City University in 2017 and it is her eighth season in pro basketball. Morillo-Wallen played also for Independence Community College for one year.
