Spartans - Trotamundos 71-78

Trotamundos outrebounded Spartans 40-26 including 27 on the defensive glass. 24 personal fouls committed by Spartans helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Dominican guard Juan Suero (196-1993) scored 27 points and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and South Sudanese-Lebanese center Ater Majok (210-1987, college: UConn) chipped in 15 points and 8 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) during the contest. Dominican swingman Jassel Perez (195-2001) responded with 22 points and American power forward Steve Taylor Jr (206-1993, college: Toledo) scored 11 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.

The former international forward Jose Ascanio (204-1996) added 14 points and 5 rebounds for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
