SLFB 2025 Semifinals - Round 2 - Caribenas and Pastoras, one game shy of the Finals

Caribenas de Caracas and Pastoras de Lara took a 2-0 lead in their respective Semifinals series to get one game shy of the 2025 Superliga Femenina de Baloncesto (SLFB) Finals, by achieving wins over Capitalinas de Distrito Capital and Diosas de Guacara in Caracas and Guacara.

Caribenas took down Capitalinas 85-57, thanks to Astrid Hinojosa (174-PF-2008) and her offensive skills with 22 points, adding 3 rebounds, two assists and two steals. Yesimar Escudero (168-PG-2007) added 18 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and a couple of steals and Aguehil Fajardo (183-PF-1999) completed a double double with 17 points and 15 rebounds. Barbara Pico (168-PG-2002) helped the cause with 11 points, 4 rebounds and 5 assists.

For Capitalinas, Joan Ramirez (161-PG) finished up with 13 points, 5 boards and a couple of assists and Yanetsy Zamaro (178-PF-1998) added 10 points and 8 rebounds.

Meanwhile, Pastoras de Lara defeated Diosas 76-50 as visitors at Loma Linda Arena in Guacara. Daniela Morillo-Wallen (179-SF-1995, college: Okla City) was too much for the hosts with 29 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals, while Genesis Rivera (180-G/F-1996, college: UMass) added a double double of 16 points and 12 rebounds.

For Diosas, Yosimar Corrales (184-PF-1990) scored 13 points and grabbed 3 rebounds while Vanessa Reyes (2007) added 11 more with 4 boards.
