Venezuelan SF Daniela Morillo-Wallen (179-SF-1995, college: Okla City) netted 5 points and grabbed 8 rebounds in 21 minutes of action as a reserve, but her team, Montana (1-1), suffered its first defeat of the 2025-2026 season in the NBL action in Bulgaria, in a tight match against Beroe (1-1), 80-75.
Morillo-Wallen scored 2 out of 10 2-point attempts, did not attempts any three-pointers and scored her only free-throw of the match. She also handed out 3 assists and recovered 2 balls, while comitting a couple of fouls. However, Beroe had other plans and took advantage of a double double by Brittany Autry (185-C-1998, college: Belm.Abbey) with 19 points, 13 rebounds and a couple of assists. She got help from Valeria Aleksieva (166-G-2000) with 18 points, 8 assists and two steals and Zlatka Madankova (185-F/C-2002) with 18 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists and a block. For Montana, Radostina Hristova-Dimitrova (181-SF-1994) had a spectacular performance with 35 points, 10 rebounds, 6 assists and 6 steals, including a couple of blocks. Denia Davis-Stewart (185-F-1998, college: Merrimack) added 17 points, 6 rebounds and a couple of blocks. Daniela Morillo-Wallen is averaging 17.8 points, 6.6 rebounds, 4.2 assists and 2.6 steals when it comes to the WABA League, while in the recently started NBL season, in two games, she's averaging 10.5 points, 7.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 5.5 steals. Her next appearances will be against Zagreb (1-4) next December 3rd (Montana has a 5-0 record in the WABA season) and then on December 20th she'll face Beroe (1-1). |
