SPB 2026 - Cocodrilos welcome back Bethelmy, ex Paisas

Cocodrilos de Caracas (SPB) signed 39-year-old Venezuelan ex-international 200cm forward Luis Bethelmy. He is returning to Caracas, where he has played before. Bethelmy most recently played for Paisas in the Colombian LBP league, averaging 2.5ppg, 5.5rpg, 3.0apg, and 1.0spg in two games last season.
He is a very experienced player. Bethelmy has played also in Argentina (Gimnasia), Colombia (Cafeteros, Guerreros, Storm and Caimanes), Mexico (Halcones Rojos and Libertadores), Puerto Rico, Uruguay (Defensor), Venezuela (Marinos, Trotamundos, Guaros, Guacharos and Gladiadores) and Dominican Republic (Indios).
Among many awards, he played in the final of the Venezuelan SPB in 2025. He was voted to the Latinbasket.com All-Colombian LBP Clausura Honorable Mention in 2025. It may be one of the last seasons in his extensive career, which he may end at Cocodrilos.
