Waleska Perez

Hidrocarburos de Caracas (SLBF) signed 32-year-old former international guard Waleska Perez, who stands at 180cm and played college basketball at Weatherford JC, for the upcoming season. Perez last played for Caribenas during the summer.
She was also a member of the Venezuelan international program for some years. Perez played for the Venezuelan Senior National Team between 2010 and 2024 and previously for the Under 18 National Team during 2009.
She is a very experienced player, and thanks to pro basketball, she experienced life in nine different countries playing on three different continents. Perez is familiar with European, Latin American, and North American leagues. She has played professionally in Argentina (Obras), Brazil (Blumenau), Colombia (Motilonas), Croatia (Rijeka), Mexico (Pioneras and Abejas), Serbia (Kraljevo), Spain (Arxil), Venezuela (Anzoategui, Guaras, Cangrejas, and Pastoras), and El Salvador (Salvadorenas). Her team won the Venezuelan League Regular Season in 2025.
Among many awards, she was voted Latinbasket.com All-Venezuelan Superliga Guard of the Year in 2022.
Perez attended Weatherford College until 2014 and this will be her 13th season in pro basketball.
