Guerrero's 36-point game gives him Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

32-year old Dominican Rep. power forward Juan Guerrero (203-PF-1993) had an amazing evening in the last round for Guaiqueries de Margarita and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 21.
He had the game-high 36 points adding eight rebounds for Guaiqueries in his team's victory, helping them to beat Panteras (#13, 1-11) 85-76. Guaiqueries maintains the 3rd position in Venezuelan league. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Guaiqueries will need more victories to improve their 9-3 record. In the team's last game Guerrero had a remarkable 82.4% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Guaiqueries, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Guerrero has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (5th best: 19.0ppg) and averages solid 72.7% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Malik Dime (206-C-1992, agency: Slash Sports) of Marinos de Anzoategui. He is Senegalese-American center in his first season at Marinos. In the last game Dime recorded an impressive 22 points and 9 rebounds. Bad luck as Marinos lost that game 82-90 to league's leader Gaiteros (#1, 11-0). This loss caused Marinos to drop to 6th position in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 7-5 record is not bad and everything may still change. Dime is one of the most experienced players at Marinos and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to another Marinos' star - guard Tobin Carberry (192-G-1991). Carberry scored 19 points and grabbed 9 rebounds. Despite Carberry's great performance the Marinos de Anzoategui lost 82-90 to the league's current leader Gaiteros (#1, 11-0). But his team cannot count on just these two top stars as they also need help of the other teammates. Carberry has a very solid season. In 2 games in Venezuela he scored 15.5ppg. Carberry attended one of camps at Eurobasket Summer League on his way to pro basketball.
