SLBF 2026 - Jormelys Urbina (ex Aguada) is a newcomer at Hidrocarburos

Hidrocarburos de Caracas (SLBF) strengthened their roster with the addition of 29-year-old Venezuelan ex-international 170cm guard Jormelys Urbina. She played last summer at Atletico Aguada in the Uruguayan Liga Femenina. In 5 games, she recorded very impressive stats: 18.4ppg, 8.2rpg, 5.6apg, and 4.4spg. She also played for Mieleras de Guanajuato in the Mexican league.
Urbina represented Venezuela at the Olympic Games Pre-Qualifying Tournament in Medellin (Colombia) three years ago. During this event, she scored an average of 10 points per game and had 1.3 rebounds per game.
She is a very experienced player, having played in Brazil (Mesquita), Mexico (Quetzales and Cinnamon), Uruguay (25 de Agosto), Venezuela (Anzoategui, Bucaneras and Caribenas), Bolivia (Aleman), and North Macedonia (ZKK MZT Skopje).
Among many awards, she was voted to the Latinbasket.com Mexican LMBPF All-Imports Team in 2024.
