Centauros claim back-to-back wins at the start of WBLA season

Centauros celebrated two wins in a row at the start of the WBLA campaign. The Mexican team first defeated Salvadorenas 95-89 in overtime. Five players scored in double digits for the winners. Kristen Spolyar (178-G-1997, college: Butler) scored 24 points to lead the charge. Destiny Pitts (178-G, college: Texas A&M) contributed 23 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Donasja Scott (180-F-1997, college: GSC) replied with 25 points for Salvadorenas.
Centauros then followed with an 82-75 victory over Teporacas. Centauros used a 23-17 rally in the fourth period to ice the win. Destiny Pitts produced 28 points, while Kristen Spolyar notched 27 points and 9 assists for the Mexican team. Kamilah Jackson (183-F-1992, college: Hawaii) and Esperanza Delgado (172-SF-1996) accounted for 18 points apiece in the loss.
