Here is the last round review presented by LBM Management.

The biggest surprise took place in Montevideo where host Uruguayan Malvin (2-1) crushed Chilean Univ.de Chile (2-1) 78-53 on Sunday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Univ.de Chile. It was a key game for the top position in the league. The game without a history. Malvin led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Malvin outrebounded Univ.de Chile 45-29 including 33 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was Colombian forward Jenifer Munoz (170-1991) who had a double-double by scoring 23 points, 15 rebounds and 5 assists. Argentinian Maria Jourdheuil (180-1994) chipped in 18 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Javiera Novion (170-1987, college: Eckerd) who recorded 18 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 6 steals. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Malvin keeps a position of league leader, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Univ.de Chile.
Very important is a home loss of second ranked Argentinian Obras (1-2) against fourth ranked Paraguayan Felix Perez (1-2) on Sunday night. Host Obras were defeated by Felix Perez in a tough game in Buenos Aires 80-86. It was a good game for Latvian guard Ilze Jakobsone (168-1994) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 5 rebounds and 10 assists. Isabelle Gradwell contributed with 23 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Felix Perez's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Canadian guard Dahomee Forgues (173, college: FDU) replied with 20 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for Obras. It was the only win of guest team this round and in all other games host teams recorded victories. Defending Paraguayan champion left bottom position moving up to third place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Obras.

Obras - Felix Perez 80-86

Very important is a home loss of second ranked Argentinian Obras (1-2) against fourth ranked Paraguayan Felix Perez (1-2) on Sunday night. Host Obras were defeated by Felix Perez in a tough game in Buenos Aires 80-86. It looked good early as Obras took a 3-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Felix Perez had a 29-16 second period charge getting the lead and Obras were not able to take back game control losing it eventually 80-86. Strangely Obras outrebounded Felix Perez 39-26 including 26 on the defensive glass. It was a good game for Latvian guard Ilze Jakobsone (168-1994) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 5 rebounds and 10 assists. American swingman Isabelle Gradwell (185-2000, college: Minnesota) contributed with 23 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Felix Perez's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Canadian guard Dahomee Forgues (173, college: FDU) replied with 20 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and Camila Suarez (178-2000) added 20 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Obras.
