The most interesting game of round 3 was a derby match between two teams from Argentina. The game took place in Buenos Aires where Union Florida outleveled host Ferro (1-2) 74-50. The game was mostly controlled by Union Florida. Ferro managed to win fourth quarter 16-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Union Florida held Ferro to an opponent 18.8 percent shooting from the field compared to 40.7 percent accuracy of the winners. They outrebounded Ferro 52-37 including a 46-29 advantage in defensive rebounds. 24 personal fouls committed by Ferro helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities.
