The most interesting game of round 3 was a derby match between two teams from Argentina. The game took place in Buenos Aires where Union Florida outleveled host Ferro (1-2) 74-50. The game was mostly controlled by Union Florida. Ferro managed to win fourth quarter 16-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Union Florida held Ferro to an opponent 18.8 percent shooting from the field compared to 40.7 percent accuracy of the winners. They outrebounded Ferro 52-37 including a 46-29 advantage in defensive rebounds. 24 personal fouls committed by Ferro helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for forward Victoria Gauna (185-2001) who led her team to a victory with 11 points and 6 rebounds. Giuliana Baccareli (165-2003) contributed with 11 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Center Julia Fernandez (185-2004) answered with 7 points and 11 rebounds for Ferro. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The best for the losing side was Argentinian Maria Jourdheuil (180-1994) with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists.
