An interesting game for American Phoenix (2-0) which played road game in Santa Tecla against 4th placed Salvadorean Salvadorenas (0-2). Leader Phoenix managed to get a 8-point victory 90-82. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Salvadorenas won fourth quarter 22-20. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Phoenix made 24-of-30 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 Salvadorenas turnovers. Guard Rebecca Harris (173-1986, college: Illinois) orchestrated the victory by scoring 28 points. Guard Aliyah Collier (183-1997, college: Clemson) contributed with 22 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Cuban Anisleidys Galindo (181-1989) answered with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists for Salvadorenas.
