The hosts trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 21-19 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to tie the game at the end of regular time. They were better in double-overtime eventually winning that period 7-7. Phoenix made 23-of-30 free shots (76.7 percent) during the game. Phoenix outrebounded Sportiva Ita. 64-53 including a 45-34 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of swingman Mo Bennett (177-1990, college: Georgia Tech) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 13 points and 21 rebounds. Guard Rebecca Harris (173-1986, college: Illinois) contributed with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Colombian guard Manuela Rios (165-1997) answered with a triple-double by scoring 37 points (!!!), 12 rebounds and 11 assists and American center Dorie Harrison (190, college: Lipscomb) added 18 points and 19 rebounds in the effort for Sportiva Ita.Five Phoenix and four Sportiva Ita. players scored in double figures. Sportiva Ita.'s coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help.

Union Florida - Indeportes 59-73

It looked good early as Union Florida took a 3-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Indeportes had a 20-15 second period charge getting the lead and Union Florida was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 59-73. Indeportes forced 21 Union Florida turnovers. Center Yuliany Paz (195-2000) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 14 rebounds for the winners and guard Valentina Lopez (175-1994) chipped in 23 points. At the losing side power forward Giselle Botta (180-1999) responded with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds and Malena Maggi (186-2006) scored 14 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
