Quimsa clinched La Liga title. They outgunned Boca in Game 5 of the Finals to lift the trophy. Quimsa led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Quimsa outrebounded Boca 46-27 including a 33-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American power forward Eric Anderson (204-1993, college: New Haven) stepped up and scored 25 points and 7 rebounds for the winners and the former international Mauro Cosolito (192-1988) chipped in 11 points and 4 assists. The former international Leonel Schattmann (193-1987) responded with 14 points and 4 assists and American-Jordanian Dar Tucker (193-1988, college: DePaul) scored 5 points and 7 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Instituto celebrated La Liga SuperCup title. They edged Quimsa for the trophy. Tayavek Gallizzi (206-F/C-1993) scored 16 points and grabbed 6 rebounds to pace the winners. He was named the MVP. Quimsa grabbed a 42-32 halftime lead. They extended the margin to as many as 13 points heading into the fourth period 67-54. But Instituto turned things around in the fourth quarter. They tied things up at 78 at the end of regulation forcing overtime. Instituto held their opponents to just 3 points in the extra period to snatch the win. Luciano Gonzalez (194-G-1990) had 17 points, while Nicolas Romano (200-G) added 13 points and 14 rebounds for the winners. Fabian Ramirez (200-F-1990) answered with 17 points for Quimsa.
