Gabriel Deck's double-double lands him Player of the Week award among Argentinians playing currently abroad:

We bring you last week's top performances from Argentinians who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level.

Gabriel Deck

   #1. This week's number one is former international forward Gabriel Deck (198-1995, currently plays in Euroleague). He could not help Real Madrid (18-8) in their last game. Despite Deck's very good performance Real Madrid was edged 93-90 on the road by the lower-ranked (#5) Efes. He had a double-double by scoring 23 points and getting 10 rebounds. Deck also added 4 assists in 40 minutes on the court. There are only two games left until the end of the Euroleague Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. This year Deck averages: 9.9ppg, 5.0rpg, 2FGP: 62.5%(25-40), 3FGP: 42.9% and FT: 71.4% in seven games he played so far. He played for the Argentinian senior national team year ago.

Nicolas Laprovittola

   #2. Second place goes to former international point guard Nicolas Laprovittola (190-1990, currently plays in Euroleague). Laprovittola contributed to an easy victory against the 11th-ranked ALBA Berlin (10-14) 95-79 in the Euroleague last Tuesday. He recorded 10 points and added 4 assists. FC Barcelona Lassa (21-5) is placed first in the Euroleague. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. There are only two games left until the end of the Euroleague Regular Season. So now every game is very crucial. Laprovittola's overall stats this season are: 9.1ppg, 1.9rpg, 3.3apg, 2FGP: 54.5%, 3FGP: 43.8% and FT: 96.8%(30-31). He played for the Argentinian national team in 21.

Juan Pablo Vaulet

   #3. The Argentinian player who performed third best last week abroad was former international small forward Juan Pablo Vaulet (198-1996, agency: Interperformances, currently plays in Spain). Vaulet led Manresa to an easy victory against the 16th-ranked Andorra (8-17) crushing them 94-60 in the Spanish Liga Endesa in Saturday night's game. He scored 11 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. BAXI Manresa (2-1) is placed second in the Liga Endesa. There are only three games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be important. Vaulet's overall stats this season are: 5.3ppg, 3.5rpg, 2FGP: 56.8%(21-37), 3FGP: 25.0% and FT: 76.9%. He has a dual citizenship: Polish and Argentinian. Vaulet played for the Argentinian national team year ago.

Nicolas Brussino

   #4. Small forward Nicolas Brussino (205-1993, currently plays in EuroCup) led his Spanish team Gran Canaria to an easy victory against the closely-ranked Buducnost (9-7) crushing them 84-64 in the Eurocup last Wednesday. He recorded 13 points in 25 minutes. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Herbalife Gran Canaria (12-4) is placed first in the Eurocup. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. There are only two games left until the end of the Eurocup Regular Season. So now every game will be extremely important. Marcos Delia

Erik Thomas

   #6. Guard Erik Thomas (195-1995, college: New Orleans, currently plays in Brazil) was not able to secure a victory for Brasilia in their last game on Saturday. Despite his very good performance his team was edged 80-79 on their home court in Brasilia by the much lower-ranked Rio Claro (#9). Thomas was the top scorer with 23 points. He also added 6 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals. This season Thomas has relatively solid stats: 14.7ppg, 7.3rpg, 2.6apg and 1.6spg. He is a naturalized American. Thomas is a former international player as he played for the Argentinian senior team year ago. He used to play for Regatas Corrientes in Argentinian league.

Franco Balbi

   #7. An experienced former international point guard Franco Balbi (188-1989, currently plays in Brazil) contributed to an easy victory against one of league's weakest teams U.Corinthians (7-19) crushing them 117-55 in the Brazilian NBB on Thursday night. Balbi scored 6 points, had 6 rebounds and dished 14 assists in 24 minutes. Clube de Regatas do Flamengois placed in the NBB. This year Balbi's total stats are: 7.4ppg, 3.2rpg, 4.9apg and 1.1spg in 18 games. He used to play for the Argentinian national team years ago.

Lucio Redivo

   #8. Point guard Lucio Redivo (183-1994, currently plays in Italy) led Brindisi to an easy victory against the closely-ranked Cremona (1-3) crushing them 87-65 in the Italian Serie A in Sunday night's game. Redivo scored 14 points. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Happy Casa Brindisiis placed first in the Serie A. Redivo has averaged so far 9.3ppg, 1.6rpg and 1.4apg. Cristian Amicucci

Jonathan Sacco

   #10. Forward Jonathan Sacco (196-1995, currently plays in Uruguay) couldn't help Nacional (10-14) in their last game on Monday. Despite his good performance Nacional was defeated 87-80 in a derby game by the leading Goes. Sacco scored 14 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. Sacco has averaged so far 4.4ppg and 3.8rpg. He is a former U16 international player as years ago he still played for the Argentinian national team.

Former international small forward Carlos Delfino (198-1982, currently plays in Italy) couldn't help Pesaro in their game against Brescia in the Italian Serie A, despite his very good performance on Sunday night. Delfino was the second best scorer with 13 points. He also added 5 rebounds and dished 5 assists in 30 minutes. But his team lost 83-88.    #13. Former international forward Franco Giorgetti (203-1992, currently plays in Uruguay) faced previously mentioned Jonathan Sacco in the Uruguayan LUB last game. Giorgetti led Goes to a victory over the tenth-ranked Nacional 87-80 in a derby game. He was MVP of the game. Giorgetti scored 21 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. Giorgetti averaged so far 14.7ppg, 8.2rpg, 2.1apg, 1.7bpg and 2.0spg. He used to play for the Argentinian national team years ago.

   #14. Former international small forward Marcos Mata (202-1986, currently plays in Uruguay) couldn't help Aguada in their game against Trouville in the Uruguayan LUB. Mata scored 8 points, grabbed 6 rebounds and dished 5 assists in 27 minutes. His team lost 75-85. Mata's stats this year are: 13.3ppg, 7.0rpg and 3.1apg in 23 games. Romeao Ferguson (196-G-1997, college: Lipscomb, currently plays in Chile) led Castro to a 1-point victory over the league leader Puerto Varas (9-1) 73-72 in the Chilean Liga Nacional on Sunday night. Ferguson was MVP of the game. He had a double-double by scoring 32 points and getting 12 rebounds. Ferguson also added 4 assists in 39 minutes; quite an impressive performance considering it's only his first season in pro basketball. Club Deportes Castro (2-6) is placed fifth in the Liga Nacional. Ferguson has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 18.8ppg, 7.5rpg, 3.1apg and 2.0spg in 11 games he played so far. Ferguson is a naturalized American. Strangely he has never played in Argentina.

   #2. Experienced Nicholas Wadell (201-F-1989, currently plays in Chile) led Puente Alto to a victory over the closely-ranked Los Leones (5-5) crushing them 101-78 in the Chilean Liga Nacional on Saturday night. Wadell was MVP of the game. He scored 27 points (!!!) and grabbed 8 rebounds. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Club Deportes Puente Altois placed second in the Liga Nacional. This season Wadell has very high stats. He averages: 17.5ppg, 7.3rpg, 2.4apg and 1.1spg.

   #3. Martin Chervo (200-F-1992, currently plays in Chile) is a teammate of previously mentioned Nicholas Wadell and both played together in the last Chilean Liga Nacional game. Chervo was the major contributor in a Puente Alto's victory against the closely-ranked Los Leones (5-5) crushing them 101-78. He had a double-double by scoring 20 points and getting 12 rebounds in 31 minutes. Chervo has very impressive stats this year: 15.3ppg, 10.4rpg, 1.5apg and 1.4spg in 15 games.

Nahuel Martinez (188-SG-1995, currently plays in Chile) contributed to an easy victory against the closely-ranked Las Animas (6-4) crushing them 85-61 in a derby game in the Chilean Liga Nacional on Saturday night. He scored 13 points, grabbed 5 rebounds and dished 3 assists. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Club Deportivo Valdivia (4-6) is placed fourth in the Liga Nacional.    #6. Andres Forray (188-PG-1986, currently plays in EuroCup) could not help Trento (1-14) in their last game on Tuesday. Despite Forray's good performance Trento was defeated 82-75 at home by the higher-ranked Turk Telekom (#7). He recorded 12 points. Forray has averaged so far 5.8ppg, 1.8rpg, 1.8apg and 1.2spg. He is another player who holds two passports: Argentinian and Italian.

   #7. Joaquin Shuchman (193-G/F-1995, currently plays in Israel) was not able to help Hapoel Eilat (8-13) in their last game on Sunday. Despite Shuchman's good performance Hapoel Eilat was badly defeated 96-79 on the road by the much higher-ranked Bnei Hasharon (#3). He scored 10 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. Shuchman has averaged so far 9.2ppg, 5.6rpg, 2.1apg and 1.5spg. He has both Argentinian and Israeli nationalities.

   #8. Diego Figueredo (180-PG-1991, agency: BIG, currently plays in Brazil) was not able to secure a victory for Corinthians in their game against Sao Paulo in the Brazilian NBB. Figueredo recorded 8 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. His team was crushed by 21 points 88-67. Figueredo averaged so far 10.8ppg, 3.5rpg and 4.6apg.

   #9. Pablo Bertone (193-SG-1990, agency: Interperformances, college: FAU, currently plays in Iceland) helped Valur win their game against the league outsider Thor AK crushing them 129-84 in the Icelandic Subway League in Thursday night's game.
