Former international small forward Carlos Delfino (198-1982, currently plays in Italy) couldn't help Pesaro in their game against Brescia in the Italian Serie A, despite his very good performance on Sunday night. Delfino was the second best scorer with 13 points. He also added 5 rebounds and dished 5 assists in 30 minutes. But his team lost 83-88. Delfino has reliable stats this year: 11.5ppg, 4.1rpg, 2.7apg and 1.5spg in 22 games. He used to play for the Argentinian national team years ago. #12. Former U21 international point guard Lautaro Lopez (189-1999, agency: Octagon Europe, currently plays in ABA League) couldn't help Borac CA in their game against Split in the ABA League, despite his very good performance last Monday. Lopez was the top scorer with 13 points. He also added 9 rebounds in 29 minutes. But his team lost 59-64. Lopez has averaged so far 6.5ppg, 4.1rpg, 4.5apg and 1.2spg in 21 games. He used to play for the Argentinian U21 national team back in 18. #13. Former international forward Franco Giorgetti (203-1992, currently plays in Uruguay) faced previously mentioned Jonathan Sacco in the Uruguayan LUB last game. Giorgetti led Goes to a victory over the tenth-ranked Nacional 87-80 in a derby game. He was MVP of the game. Giorgetti scored 21 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. Giorgetti averaged so far 14.7ppg, 8.2rpg, 2.1apg, 1.7bpg and 2.0spg. He used to play for the Argentinian national team years ago. #14. Former international small forward Marcos Mata (202-1986, currently plays in Uruguay) couldn't help Aguada in their game against Trouville in the Uruguayan LUB. Mata scored 8 points, grabbed 6 rebounds and dished 5 assists in 27 minutes. His team lost 75-85. Mata's stats this year are: 13.3ppg, 7.0rpg and 3.1apg in 23 games. Former international point guard Lucas Faggiano (188-1989, college: LIU Brooklyn, currently plays in Spain) contributed to Estudiantes' victory against the tenth-ranked Caceres 83-76 in the Spanish LEB Gold (second division) on Sunday night. Faggiano scored 10 points, grabbed 4 rebounds and dished 5 assists in 28 minutes. Faggiano has averaged so far 8.6ppg, 1.9rpg, 3.3apg and 1.2spg in 22 games. He used to play for the Argentinian national team years ago. The list of other players, who all have Argentinian passport but never been selected to any of Argentinian national teams: #1. Romeao Ferguson (196-G-1997, college: Lipscomb, currently plays in Chile) led Castro to a 1-point victory over the league leader Puerto Varas (9-1) 73-72 in the Chilean Liga Nacional on Sunday night. Ferguson was MVP of the game. He had a double-double by scoring 32 points and getting 12 rebounds. Ferguson also added 4 assists in 39 minutes; quite an impressive performance considering it's only his first season in pro basketball. Club Deportes Castro (2-6) is placed fifth in the Liga Nacional. Ferguson has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 18.8ppg, 7.5rpg, 3.1apg and 2.0spg in 11 games he played so far. Ferguson is a naturalized American. Strangely he has never played in Argentina. #2. Experienced Nicholas Wadell (201-F-1989, currently plays in Chile) led Puente Alto to a victory over the closely-ranked Los Leones (5-5) crushing them 101-78 in the Chilean Liga Nacional on Saturday night. Wadell was MVP of the game. He scored 27 points (!!!) and grabbed 8 rebounds. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Club Deportes Puente Altois placed second in the Liga Nacional. This season Wadell has very high stats. He averages: 17.5ppg, 7.3rpg, 2.4apg and 1.1spg. #3. Martin Chervo (200-F-1992, currently plays in Chile) is a teammate of previously mentioned Nicholas Wadell and both played together in the last Chilean Liga Nacional game. Chervo was the major contributor in a Puente Alto's victory against the closely-ranked Los Leones (5-5) crushing them 101-78. He had a double-double by scoring 20 points and getting 12 rebounds in 31 minutes. Chervo has very impressive stats this year: 15.3ppg, 10.4rpg, 1.5apg and 1.4spg in 15 games. #4. Nahuel Martinez (188-SG-1995, currently plays in Chile) contributed to an easy victory against the closely-ranked Las Animas (6-4) crushing them 85-61 in a derby game in the Chilean Liga Nacional on Saturday night. He scored 13 points, grabbed 5 rebounds and dished 3 assists. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Club Deportivo Valdivia (4-6) is placed fourth in the Liga Nacional. Martinez has averaged so far 10.0ppg, 4.9rpg, 2.9apg and 1.5spg. #5. Lucas Fresno (195-F-2004, currently plays in Adidas Next Generation Tournament) contributed to a RO SAzzurra's victory against the league leader Maccabi T/A U18 (3-1) 74-62 in the ANGT in Sunday night's game. Fresno scored 19 points, grabbed 5 rebounds and dished 5 assists. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Stellazzurra Roma U18 team (4-0) is placed first in the ANGT. So far his team won all four games in the Regular Season. The Regular Season already ended in the ANGT. Fresno averaged so far 11.5ppg, 4.1rpg, 2.7apg and 1.5spg. He has a dual citizenship: Argentinian and Italian. #6. Andres Forray (188-PG-1986, currently plays in EuroCup) could not help Trento (1-14) in their last game on Tuesday. Despite Forray's good performance Trento was defeated 82-75 at home by the higher-ranked Turk Telekom (#7). He recorded 12 points. Forray has averaged so far 5.8ppg, 1.8rpg, 1.8apg and 1.2spg. He is another player who holds two passports: Argentinian and Italian. #7. Joaquin Shuchman (193-G/F-1995, currently plays in Israel) was not able to help Hapoel Eilat (8-13) in their last game on Sunday. Despite Shuchman's good performance Hapoel Eilat was badly defeated 96-79 on the road by the much higher-ranked Bnei Hasharon (#3). He scored 10 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. Shuchman has averaged so far 9.2ppg, 5.6rpg, 2.1apg and 1.5spg. He has both Argentinian and Israeli nationalities. #8. Diego Figueredo (180-PG-1991, agency: BIG, currently plays in Brazil) was not able to secure a victory for Corinthians in their game against Sao Paulo in the Brazilian NBB. Figueredo recorded 8 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. His team was crushed by 21 points 88-67. Figueredo averaged so far 10.8ppg, 3.5rpg and 4.6apg. #9. Pablo Bertone (193-SG-1990, agency: Interperformances, college: FAU, currently plays in Iceland) helped Valur win their game against the league outsider Thor AK crushing them 129-84 in the Icelandic Subway League in Thursday night's game. He scored 21 points, had 4 rebounds and dished 5 assists in 25 minutes. Bertone has very impressive stats this year: 15.5ppg, 4.6rpg, 5.1apg and 1.2spg in 20 games. He also holds two passports: Argentinian and Italian. #10. Juan Davini (185-G-1998, currently plays in Spain) couldn't help Calpe (2-7) in their last game on Sunday. Despite Davini's very good performance the eighth-placed Calpe was badly defeated 89-72 on their home court in Calpe by the higher-ranked Molina (#3) in the Group EDesc2. He was the top scorer with 26 points. Davini also added 7 rebounds. This season Davini has very high stats. He averages: 16.2ppg, 4.5rpg and 1.6spg. Davini holds both Argentinian and Italian passports.
