Here is the weekly review of the top performing Argentinian players, who play currently abroad.
#1. This week's number one is former U19 international point guard
Cristian Cortez (185-1990, currently plays in Mexico). He led
Fuerza Regia to a victory over one of league's weakest teams Halcones UV Xalapa (1-5)
76-64 in the Mexican LNBP (second division) last Monday.
Cortez was MVP of the game. He scored 14 points and added 3 passes.
Fuerza Regia Monterrey (13-3) is placed first in the LNBP.
It was his team's sixth consecutive victory in a row.
But the season just started, so everything may happen.
This year Cortez averages: 6.2ppg, 1.4rpg, 4.6apg, 2FGP: 42.1%, 3FGP: 27.3% and FT: 75.0%.
He has a dual citizenship: Argentinian and Mexican.
Cortez played for the Argentinian U19 national team year ago.
#2. Second place goes to former international forward
Fabian Ramirez (200-1990, currently plays in Uruguay). He was the main contributor in
Cordon's victory against the 12th-ranked Sayago (2-9)
71-67 in the Uruguayan Metropolitan (second division) on Tuesday night.
Ramirez was the best player in that game. He recorded 17 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists in 32 minutes.
Atletico Cordon Montevideo (9-2) is placed first in the Metropolitan.
There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical.
Ramirez has relatively good stats this year: 14.5ppg, 7.5rpg, 2.6apg, 1.1bpg, 1.4spg, 2FGP: 69.4%(34-49), 3FGP: 35.8% and FT: 75.6% in 11 games he played so far.
He played for the Argentinian national team in 20.
#3. The Argentinian player who performed third best last week abroad was former international guard
Erik Thomas (195-1995, college:
New Orleans, currently plays in Mexico). Thomas could not help
Abejas (1-15) in their last game on Saturday. Despite his good performance Abejas was edged
91-89 on the road by the one of league's weakest teams Halcones UV Xalapa (#9).
Thomas scored 12 points, had 8 boards, passed 3 assists and added 3 steals. It was his first game for Abejas this season.
But the season is still in its first stage and everything can happen.
Thomas is a naturalized American.
He played for the Argentinian national team year ago.
Thomas used to play for Regatas Corrientes in Argentinian league.
#4. Center
Agustin Caffaro (211-1995, currently plays in Uruguay) was not able to help
Sayago in their game against 25 de Agosto (7-4) in the Uruguayan Metropolitan (second division). Despite his good performance on Friday night Caffaro scored 11 points.
There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game is very crucial.
This season Caffaro has relatively solid stats: 14.0ppg, 6.9rpg, 1.3apg and 1.1bpg.

He scored 7 points, had 6 rebounds and made 2 blocks in 17 minutes.
Abejas de Leon (1-15) is placed fourth in the LNBP.
This year Hernandez's overall stats are: 5.8ppg, 3.7rpg and 1.3spg in six games.

#6. Point guard
Juan Brussino (185-1991, currently plays in Mexico) was the major contributor in
Dorados' victory against the league outsider Correcaminos (0-5)
99-94 in the Mexican LNBP (second division) on Thursday night.
He had a double-double by scoring 18 points and making 12 passes. Brussino also added 6 rebounds in 36 minutes.
Dorados de Chihuahua (5-0) is placed first in the LNBP.
So far his team won all five games in the Regular Season.

Punto Rojo LR (11-1) is placed first in the National League.

The Regular Season already ended.

#3. Joe Meneses (186-SG-2001, currently plays in Venezuela) managed to help Trotamundos de Carabobo to win against the fourth-ranked Llaneros (4-10)
81-74 in the Venezuelan SPB last Tuesday.
Meneses recorded only 3 points.
Trotamundos de Carabobo (11-1) is placed first in West-A group.
It was his team's 11th consecutive victory in a row.
This season Meneses averages just 1.3ppg.
#4. Joaquin Gamazo (198-PF-1991, currently plays in Bolivia) is a teammate of previously mentioned Eduardo Gamboa and both played together in the last Bolivian Libobasquet game.
Gamazo was the major contributor in a
La Salle's victory against the closely-ranked Univ.Sucre (3-12)

He recorded a double-double by scoring 14 points and getting the same number of rebounds. Gamazo also added 6 assists.

#5. Manuel Lambrisca (192-G/F-1997, currently plays in Chile) contributed to an easy victory against the fourth-ranked Sergio Ceppi (9-5)

#6. Fernando Dose (200-F-1994, currently plays in Paraguay) contributed to a 1-point
San Jose's victory against the second-ranked Olimpia Kings
70-69 in a derby game in the Paraguayan LNB on Monday night.
He was the top player that evening. Dose recorded 19 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists.
This season Dose has very high stats. He averages: 15.4ppg, 5.4rpg and 2.8apg.
Dose has a dual citizenship: Argentinian and Paraguayan.
#7. Franco Benitez (199-F-1994, currently plays in Paraguay) is a teammate of previously mentioned Fernando Dose. But that was another game of his team in Paraguayan LNB which we would like to mention.
