Traditionally, every week we bring you a list of the top performances of Argentinians who are currently playing abroad.
#1. This week's number one is former international forward
Fabian Ramirez (200-1990, currently plays in Uruguay). He led
Cordon to a victory over the fourth-ranked Colon (2-1)
83-76 in the Uruguayan Metropolitan (second division) last Tuesday.
Ramirez was MVP of the game. He recorded a double-double by scoring 28 points and getting 10 rebounds. Ramirez also added 6 assists.
Atletico Cordon Montevideo (3-1) is placed first in Places 1-7 group.
It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row.
There are only two games left until the end of the Second Stage. So now every game will be critical.
Ramirez has relatively good stats this season: 14.4ppg, 7.6rpg, 3.5apg, 1.6spg, 2FGP: 68.3%(56-82), 3FGP: 34.9% and FT: 76.3%.
He played for the Argentinian senior national team year ago.
#2. Second place goes to former U19 international point guard
Cristian Cortez (185-1990, currently plays in Mexico). Cortez could not help
Fuerza Regia (13-3) in their last game. Despite his good performance the league leader Fuerza Regia lost
90-95 on the road to the second-ranked Mineros.
Cortez recorded 11 points and added 6 assists (made all of his six free throws) in 40 minutes.
This year Cortez averages: 6.9ppg, 1.1rpg, 4.0apg, 2FGP: 40.5%, 3FGP: 32.3% and FT: 88.9% in 11 games he played so far.
He has a dual citizenship: Argentinian and Mexican.
Cortez played for the Argentinian U19 national team in 9.
#3. The Argentinian player who performed third best last week abroad was former international guard
Santiago Scala (187-1991, currently plays in Brazil). He was not able to help
Vivo/Franca in their game against Sao Paulo (23-9) in the Brazilian Paulista (third division).
Scala recorded 8 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists.
The league leader Vivo/Franca was crushed
97-68 in a derby game by the lower-ranked Sao Paulo (#4).
There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game is very crucial.
This season Scala has relatively solid stats: 11.8ppg, 4.6rpg, 3.4apg, 2FGP: 48.0%, 3FGP: 38.2%.
He played for the Argentinian national team year ago.
#4. Guard
Erik Thomas (195-1995, college:
New Orleans, currently plays in Mexico) was not able to secure a victory for
Abejas (1-15) in their game against Dorados (8-3) in the Mexican LNBP (second division), despite his very good performance last Wednesday.
Thomas was the second best scorer with 20 points. He also added 8 rebounds in 34 minutes; quite an impressive performance considering it's only Thomas' first season in pro basketball. But Abejas lost
89-94 at home to the leading Dorados.
It was Abejas' fourth consecutive loss in a row.
Thomas has reliable stats this year: 13.3ppg, 5.4rpg, 1.4apg and 1.4spg in seven games.
He is a naturalized American.
Thomas used to play for the Argentinian national team
back in 17. He played also for Regatas Corrientes in Argentinian league.
#5. Former international power forward
Kevin Hernandez (205-1991, currently plays in Mexico) is a teammate of previously mentioned Erik Thomas. But that was another game of his team in Mexican LNBP which we would like to mention.
Hernandez was the major contributor in
Abejas' victory against the league leader Dorados (8-3) crushing them
104-69.
He recorded 16 points and grabbed 6 rebounds.
It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Abejas de Leon (1-15) is placed fourth in the LNBP.
Hernandez's overall stats this season are: 7.3ppg, 3.8rpg, 1.3apg and 1.1spg.

#6. An experienced point guard
Jonatan Machuca (186-1989, currently plays in Brazil) contributed to
Paschoalotto/Bauru's victory against the closely-ranked LSB / B2B (7-5)
74-66 in the Brazilian Paulista (third division) on Saturday night.
Machuca scored 10 points, grabbed 4 rebounds and dished 4 assists in 29 minutes.
It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Zapone Gocil/Bauru Basketis placed in the Paulista.
Machuca's stats this year are: 12.0ppg, 2.4rpg and 3.4apg in eight games.
He is a former U18 international player as he played for the Argentinian team year ago.
#7. Former international forward
Franco Giorgetti (203-1992, currently plays in Mexico) faced previously mentioned Erik Thomas in the Mexican LNBP last game.
Giorgetti was the main contributor in
Dorados' victory against the seventh-ranked Abejas (6-6)
94-89.
He was the best player in that game. Giorgetti recorded a double-double by scoring 28 points and getting 10 rebounds. He also added 3 blocks.
Giorgetti averaged so far 14.2ppg, 4.2rpg and 1.2apg.

#8. Forward
Pablo Espinoza (201-1987, currently plays in Uruguay) is a teammate of previously mentioned Fabian Ramirez. However that was another game of his team in Uruguayan Metropolitan which brought him to that list.
Espinoza contributed to an easy victory against the seventh-ranked Larranaga (0-3) crushing them
97-66 in a derby game.
He recorded 8 points, 9 rebounds and 3 blocks in 24 minutes. It was his first game for Cordon this season.
His team is placed first in Places 1-7 group.
It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row.
Espinoza used to play for the Argentinian national team
back in 15.
#9. Former U16 international power forward
Pablo Alderete (198-1993, currently plays in Ecuador) contributed to an easy victory against the closely-ranked Caballeros (13-1)
90-75 in the Ecuadorian National League in Friday night's game.
He was the top player that evening. Alderete had a double-double by scoring 31 points and getting 12 rebounds. He also added and 3 steals (was perfect 12-for-12 from the free throw line !!!) in 40 minutes.
It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Punto Rojo LR (13-1) is placed first in the National League.
It was his team's 13th consecutive victory in a row.
Alderete has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 17.9ppg, 10.5rpg, 3.3apg and 1.2spg in 15 games.
Alderete used to play for the Argentinian U16 national team

#10. Point guard
Juan Brussino (185-1991, currently plays in Mexico) is a teammate of previously mentioned Franco Giorgetti and both played together in the last Mexican LNBP game.
Brussino contributed to
Dorados' victory against the seventh-ranked Abejas (6-6)
94-89.
He recorded 16 points and added 6 assists.
Brussino averaged so far 14.2ppg, 3.5rpg, 4.6apg and 1.5spg.
He is a former international player as years ago he still played for the Argentinian senior national team.
#11. Former U16 international forward
Jonathan Sacco (196-1995, currently plays in Uruguay) faced previously mentioned Pablo Espinoza in the Uruguayan Metropolitan last game.
Sacco couldn't help
Larranaga in their game against Cordon.
He recorded 8 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. It was his first game for Larranaga this season.
His team was crushed by 31 points

#12. Former U18 international center
Cristian Scaramuzzino (206-1992, currently plays in Uruguay) faced previously mentioned Fabian Ramirez in the Uruguayan Metropolitan last game.
Scaramuzzino couldn't help
Colon in their game against Cordon, despite his very good performance last Tuesday.
He was the second best scorer with 16 points. Scaramuzzino also added 4 assists in 37 minutes.
But his team lost
76-83.
Scaramuzzino averaged so far 13.1ppg, 7.2rpg, 1.4apg and 1.6bpg in 16 games.
He used to play for the Argentinian U18 national team
back in 10.
The list of other players, who all have Argentinian passport but never been selected to any of Argentinian national teams: #1. Joseph Avila, who plays in the Mexican LNBP (second division) could not help
Fuerza Regia (13-3) in their last game. Despite his good performance the league leader Fuerza Regia lost
90-95 on the road to the second-ranked Mineros.
Avila recorded 13 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in 34 minutes.
Avila has relatively good stats this year: 11.8ppg, 6.2rpg, 3.1apg and 1.3spg in 11 games he played so far.
#2. Diego Figueredo (185-PG-1991, agency:
BIG, currently plays in Brazil) led
Sao Jose to a victory against one of league's weakest teams Corinthians (13-19)
91-87 in the Brazilian Paulista (third division) on Saturday night.
Figueredo scored 13 points and added 4 passes.
Sao Jose dos Camposis placed in the Paulista.
Figueredo's overall stats this season are: 8.9ppg, 2.0rpg, 5.6apg and 1.6spg.
#3. Manuel Lambrisca (192-G/F-1997, currently plays in Chile) was not able to help
Boston College (0-0) in their game against CD Espanol Osorno (13-1) in the Chilean LNB 2 (second division), despite his very good performance in Friday night's game.
He was the top scorer with 35 points. Lambrisca also added 9 rebounds in 45 minutes.
But the first-placed Boston College lost
81-87 to the second-ranked CD Espanol Osorno in the Zona A.
Lambrisca has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 19.6ppg, 7.9rpg, 3.4apg and 1.7spg in nine games.
#4. Federico Herrera (200-F/C-1993, currently plays in Chile) was the major contributor in a
Sportiva Italiana's victory against the leader Liceo PN (12-2)
83-70 in the Chilean LNB 2 (second division) on Friday night.
He recorded 25 points and had 4 steals.
It was the game of the round between two top 3 ranked teams. Sportiva Italiana Valparaisois placed third in Zona B.
Herrera averaged so far 11.3ppg, 6.8rpg, 1.9apg and 1.5spg.
#5. Experienced
Eduardo Gamboa (189-SG-1984, currently plays in Uruguay) contributed to
Miramar's victory against the fourth-ranked Lagomar (2-2)
53-47 in a derby game in the Uruguayan Metropolitan (second division) on Monday night.
Gamboa scored 14 points in 35 minutes.
Miramar Montevideo (2-2) is placed fifth in Places 8-14 group.

Gamboa has very impressive stats this year: 15.7ppg, 3.0rpg, 3.7apg and 1.3spg in three games.
#6. Sebastian Alvarez (185-PG-1989, currently plays in Uruguay) was not able to secure a victory for
Colon in their game against Cordon in the Uruguayan Metropolitan (second division).
Alvarez scored 6 points.
His team was defeated

Alvarez averaged so far 11.1ppg, 2.6rpg, 2.1apg and 1.3spg.
